We not too bright down here in da swamp), the AAU Nationals were rather poorly promoted, even in the city it was held in. The level of competition was below that of the USTU Nationals, but it was a very well run tournament, and the finals were good. Team forms were interesting, and enjoyable to watch. I spent the entire time without that overwhelming urge to strangle somebody, which was pretty cool. The USTU could learn a few things, and vice versa. The biggest thing in forms was the lack of TKD forms in the finals. One Koryo. Maybe three Gye Baek. The rest were all the TSD forms. Interesting that most forms divisions at the AAU National TKD Championships would be won by variations of Okinawan karate forms. Hope y'all can be there next year. It could be a great tournament.
