It is my understanding that in Korea, most official documents are stamped with the persons individual seal, rather than signed. I would like to add a seal to my own testing documents. Though I survived without injury, I can definitely say that I would rather be shot at than stabbed at for many reasons. Most of my fellow agents share the same sentiments. I taught law enforcement defensive tactics to FBI agents and other law enforcement agencies. The inherent flaw in this program is that is that it does not adquately address the threat of a knife attack which is just as common as firearm attacks. Quite honestly, this is not really a sore spot. I will fully own up to the fact that, in my case, better holders would NOT have made up for poor technique. My only real sore spot is with my own ability to perform under pressure! That said, I like the idea of the "cross" at the top - giving room for a technique to follow through at the bottom. I will have to keep this thought in mind, as it seems that the cross holding is very much more common than the 'straight-on' approach that is used in my school (and October is coming quickly ;-). Unfortunately, I can not really attest to which hold is actually stronger, as all we ever use is the 'straight-on'. For whatever it is worth: I can say that two 'straight-on' board holders (with no support behind them) has been sufficient for a three board jump reverse side kick (me) and a four board jump side kick (Master Caruso). Thank you for your thoughtful input. Mark Lasich Mark.Lasich@alcoa.com *************************************************************** Planning your next home improvement project?
