Great way to get students to buy new uniforms each belt change - heh?! You only have to sew collar trim-once to want to buy the others!! Immediately, the FAA and the local SWAT team became involved. This was on CBS news maybe a month ago. It is actually a felony to joke about certain things, for example weapons on aicrafts, while being on an aircraft, the assassination of the president etc. Frank ------------------------------ From: Migukyong@aol.com Date: Thu, 10 Aug 2000 16:36:52 EDT Subject: the_dojang: Re: Ray and sewing LOL... The reason for this is simple... high quality midnight blue is becomeing harder and harder to find. Sang Moo Sa for example, carries one now which is more like blue than midnight blue. AWMA used to carry the Sang Moo So Midnight blue belt, but no longer do, they carry pro force, which to my understanding, is not as dark. Personally, I prefer midnight blue, as I tend to be traditional, unfortunately, I have not had much luck in obtaining high quality ones for the last year or so, so we have converted to black. Most of the Korea Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan Schools also tend to wear black as well. Hey Chris! Picture a person reaping hay with a single hand sickle... Or most western fights where the guy draws his arm way back and comes around with a big punch. Of course, the best haymaker was in Blazing Saddles when Mongo (Alex Karras) punches out the horse. In the Walker episodes Chuck just about always does a few, when he's not doing those "street effective" spin heel kicks. ;^) DREW From: Chris Date: Thu, 10 Aug 2000 12:58:42 -0500 Subject: the_dojang: RE: The_Dojang-Digest V7 #533 >Can someone please define "haymaker". Actually, I'd say that a Judoka is well prepared to counter a haymaker. Seoinage is a common response to a wide haymaker-type attack as is perhaps even ukigoshi.
