I'm wondering if anyone will be recording the TKD events at the Olympic Games. I know that most of it is not going to be on TV. However, I'm looking for someone that may be able to get the whole four days of preliminary rounds Sep 27,28,29, and 30. Right now MSNBC is scheduled to show the women's 49kg on TV. I'm not sure if certain cable companies, Satellite TV companies or others will or are getting more coverage of the Sport then National TV. Any information on this will be helpful. Thanks ALAN ------------------------------ From: Piotr Bernat Date: Mon, 11 Sep 2000 22:13:07 +0200 Subject: the_dojang: Re: Korean Tigers Demo > Last week, Eurosport showed an excellent series of martial arts demos, > as in one demo per art. I was amazed at some of > the techniques, like kicking an apple off a sword held about 8 feet > above the ground.... It was in fact the Paris Martial Arts Festival held in spring of this year. Last week they showed only excerpts, while in April I believe the event was presented live - ca 3,5 hours. Really impressive. I liked the musical pattern done to the French national anthem... In April, there was also Taekyon, Kumdo and Hapkido, as well as a number of non-Korean martial arts. I like Florida much better! I still like Ohio quite a bit and may eventually return even tho I have not lived in the state full-time since 1973. Actually it is the people that I like. They seem to have more common sense than many of those out here in Calif, the land'o fruits-n-nuts...
