Heartwarming.Thanks. Did you ever realize that martial arts often has its best applications applied to life events. Do you apply your training to real life situations or think about hypotheticals ? Events that may happen. If trouble has found you in the past, and you want to avoid it again, do you apply those martial arts principles to avoid subsequent trouble. Use it to sense danger ? Does it quicken your senses to avoid or deescalate potentially serious situations. Hmnnnn ? Circa. 1990 something. I am making my way up this Hill in Itawon. Some have called it "Hooker Hill". To me just a hill with a lot of bars, clubs, and people. Swarming with night life. Ms. Park waves to me from the door of a club. She has seen me before. "Buy me drink...Big Ken..." I tell her I will buy her one drink but no back room antics. I catch up on the latest Itawon gossip...what to avoid...where to go. It is worth the 10,000 Won for the drink. Ms. Park likes me since she knows I am not conning her. Cut to situation. This guy, in the same bar, has his hands wrapped around my neck...He is obviously plowed...too many drinks and he is out of money, the girls have refused to go home with him, and wants to take it out on me. Ms. Park is telling him to get out. Decisions must be made. What do I do ? Don't want the Army MP's in the place taking down my name...use joint locks ? Want a quiet solving of the dilemma. What did I learn in class last year about this situation. Do I use the hold the chicken technique ? Don't want the Army MP's in here taking down my name...How did this happen to me? "Why's everybody always picking on me..." What do I do ? Hmnnnn. Think about this today while voting. McD... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thousands of Stores. I tell ya her hands had an amazing grip. Just then I heard this Jay and the American's song, "Come a little bit closer..." I felt like a fish out of water...gulped my drink and left... Heard a guy got shot there that night..."Come a little bit closer your my kind of man...come a little bit closer..." "Hey man, your in trouble plenty." See ya.
