Glad she had someone like you in her life to help her along ... this will definitely help later on in life "if" anything every comes up like this. She will handle it. Merry Christmas everyone ! Dynamite, very fast hands. His newspaper clippings call him Choo Choo. When I asked about the name, he stated it's because he keeps going til the other guy is out and down. I never knew a jab could hurt so much ........but after I adjusted, I bruised his ribs with side kicks, so we were even..... but I had to wear sunglasses a few days to cover the black eye. gary pieratt New CKC Web Page ------------------------------ From: "hununpa" Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2000 23:01:04 -0500 Subject: the_dojang: Children Illona's post on DD#771 has many of the good elements of a successful youth program. 1. Set your students up for success - practice what they will be expected to know 2. Invest a lifetime in developing a progressively challenging cirricula that works for you. 3. Catch them doing something right. 4. Provide a structure that is firm but fair. The more consistent your structure, the harder they'll work. 5. Disguise repetition = a focous on basics that is fun. 6. Focous on development of the person not the competition champion. 7. Show genuine concern for each student. I am told with the blessings of Do Ju Nim Hwang Kee as a U.S. representative of the Moo Duk Kwan. So, If Norris earned his Cho Dan between 1958 and 1967, Master Shin was his instructor, as Mr. Norris states in his book, and Master Shin would have been an instructor representing DJN Hwang Kee's TSDMDK. Therefore it is correct to say Shin, Jae Chul is Norris' instructor, and claiming Hwang Kee is his instructor would not be incorrect.. Page 85 of "Tang Soo Do Black Belt Manual" by The Word Tang Soo Do Association shows a picture of Grandmaster Shin, another unnamed gentleman, and Norris in Hollywood circa 1985. The caption reads. "Chuck Norris greets Grandmaster Shin, his first instructor...." In the decade I was invovlved in WTSDA I met GM Shin on several occassions. I don't believe he would publish such a statement if it were untrue although he never spoke of this. But then again GM Shin is not a person to grab for glory, etc. Page 14 of "Tang Soo Do.." by KJN Lee, Kang Uk (Dan Bon 70) has a Moo Duk Kwan family tree showing Chuck Norris under Shin, Jae Chul, with a plus for Kim, Sung Ki This is similar to how Hwang, H.C. is listed under Kim, Jae Jun with a plus for Hwang Kee :-) The ISBN for GM Lee's book is 0-86568-170-8 Yours in Jung Do, Charles Richards Moja Kwan TSD _______________________________________________ Why pay for something you could get for free?
