Has anyone seen an official document on the changes yet? We first heard of this right after the summer games. I have seen posts about a graduated point system, and a larger official ring size. Consider the other proposed rule changes: Sudden Death Differential Scoring Circular Competition Area While the idea of Sudden Death may eliminate some of the "questionable" judges calls, shorter rounds, multiple points for advanced techniques, and a circular mat all contribute to making the matches more exciting. And excitement translates to spectator enjoyment, which translates to television coverage. While Taekwondo is a Martial Art, the sport aspect is still that - a sport. And as such, it must, of necessity, change to find a broader audience.
