Dear Ray, Everyone is partial to their first instructor and instructors so the greatest MA I ever saw was Master Charlie Lee (my first instructor at VA TECH) and Master James K. Allison, director of the US HKD Sun Moo Kwan Assoc. If I could train with anyone alive or dead it would be Musashi Myamoto for Kum Sul and strategy Do Ju Nim Lee, Won Kuk - founder of TSD Chung Do Kwan and because I've heard so much about him, and trained with his students (Master Booth and Agusto) Kwan Jang Nim Ji Han Jae for Hapkido. I have trained with GM West and his instructor GM/Dr. Kimm and might change the order after training with GM Ji Han Jae, but from what everyone who does HKD has told me, Ji Han Jae is Da Man. OK Ray, I cheated, using mulitple choices, but then the goal of Moja Kwan is to unify Yours in Jung Do, Charles R. Moja Kwan TSD __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? We have schools spread out all over the northeast. Check out our website www.cheezictsd.com and you can find a listing of all the schools and teachers, and email addresses for some of them for more information. Hope this helps. Actually, yes I have checked your site. It is one of my favorite sites, by the way :o) I was excited the first time I saw the IMA (my assn.) on your site :o) I will keep checkin, sir, cause there is always new places popping up. By the way, the IMA has a new site. I will send it to you through your site if you'd like. You can delete the old one (if you want to), cause no one uses it and it hasn't been updated since June or July last year. The guy who originally did that site moved, and he no longer "manages" it. Thanks to everyone who replied. You were very helpful :o) Talk to ya all soon. Tang Soo! The ph# is 773-463-7744 and the fax is 773-463-7753. The best time to contact the school is between 7pm and 9 pm school. Hope this helps. Thanks for the opportunity, Jeremy. Best Wishes, Bruce << here's a Kendo Club at IU Bloomington, and of course I and others practice Hoki-ryu Iaido there as well (under the Zen Nihon Iaido Renmei). A couple of my colleagues are up in Indianapolis (in Greenwood), so if you're up there you could contact them. I would also HIGHLY recommend Ms. Takami Tanner, a 5th dan in Naginata-do who lives in Batesville. She is a wonderful instructor, and Naginata-do is even harder to find than Kendo! >> Thanks very much for the info Bruce and Dakin....unfortunately Crown Point Indiana is about and hr from Chicago and 2 hrs from Indy....the parents probably dont want to go that far...I was hoping there was a school in Merrillville or that area...is 11 years old too young to train in a sword based system? Who's the greatest martial artist you ever saw, and if you could train with anybody on the planet (living or dead) who would it be (and why)? 1. I cant recall his name right now but he did a demonstration at a tournament that I was at last year. I needed to have a video camera to record everything so I could play it in slow motion just to figure out what he was doing. I unfortunately didnt, but I think that he did 360 roundhouse then a turning hook kick all in the air. I now very little about him other than he was a member of the korean tigers demonstration team. 2. I think I would like to have a private lesson with my grandmaster Chung Eun Kim. He amazes me the things that he notices in a class of 20 people. I would enjoy the corrections that he would be able to give me when all he had to watch was me.
