I can do the ones that go forward fine .... jump kicks, spinning roundhouse, ect. Even the 360 roundhouse is easy. But anything that has to do with going backwards (back kick, jump back kick, wheel kick, ect. Except the hook kick. I can do that), forget it. I feel like an idiot lol. But it's not that I don't know how to do some of them, it's just my body don't wanna go that way lol. My teacher did tell me how I could improve on the wheel kick, so I'll try his idea. If it don't work, I'll be asking questions again lol. Thanks again. Tang Soo! Interesting to hear about the mix or non mix of classes in some schools. In our school adults are few and far between, depending on what you call an adult (20+?). From the classes I attend there are usually only about 3 or 4 per class and probably less than 20 all up across all the classes although our master runs a number of classes in different areas so there could be more in the school in total. There are lots of children and young teens though. Class size ranges from 20 to 40 (seems to depend on the class and the time of year) although sometimes . I find that the mix of kids and adults works well. There are a few rat baggy kids and those 10 minutes or so before the lesson starts are hell on wheels, but once the lesson starts I think the additional adult presence stabilises the class. It usually only takes a glance to catch the eye of someone not behaving appropriately and they buckle down. I train with my two children aged 7 and 9 and they seem to like it. Nasty when they gang up on me though. Who would have thought that a 7 year old could do a turning kick to the buttocks with such force. Trust the person with the class mix difficulty resolves it. Here's things we learned: 1. Avoid jumping or falling during the pregnancy. 2. Your hips will become a lot more flexible, so watch out for assuming this is from your stretching. You can easily hyperextend yourself if you're not careful, and I'm pretty sure you don't want a pulled groin before giving birth! 3. My wife gave up sparring altogether. I know others haven't, but it just seem liked a good idea to us (no reason to take a chance). 4. Tell the guy in your life to watch his weight. Remind him that while YOU'LL drop a lot of weight after the pregnancy by breastfeeding, the guys don't have that option. 5. Make sure after the birth that you guys have some time to yourselves. Martial arts can really screw up relationships because of the amount of time involved in training, so be aware that a lot of marriages start going on the rocks when the kids are small. By the way, you can see a picture of her in her eighth month if you go to: http://www.indiana.edu/~iutkd/pictures1998.htm It's the one labeled "Nice Side kick (and she's pregnant)." If you care to see an OLD picture of myself, look at the one labeled "team pic". Actually, that's a 1988 pic of the IU T'aekkyon Club. Our instructor was Ki-Hyun Do. I'm at the far left in the picture. A bunch of those photos from "1988" are actually from much earlier. Good luck!
