Tang Soo! Bernard ------------------------------ From: "Burdick, Dakin Robert" Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2001 08:35:06 -0500 Subject: the_dojang: Bill's article There a number of typing mistakes that ought to be cleared up, the best of which is the "rouge elephant." Others are "crowed," "solider," etc. That said, it reads well. I saw a tv special on the young bull elephants and as you mentioned, it was fascinating. The Boy Scouts were originally designed to combat youth gangs (look for info on the gang problem of the 1890s), as were a number of less-successful organizations (Woodcraft Indians, Sons of Daniel Boone, etc.). The only analogy I didn't like was the one about the cave bear. I would say that a caveman with a spear who got trapped by a cave bear was one extremely dead caveman! Now, if you get 25 of those guys and drop big rocks and spears on the bear first, then most of the hunters have a good chance of returning. Take care, and keep up the good work Bill!
