This BS of worrying about offending those who seek to come to North America to "live the good life" has gone far enough. We DO need to take a stand RIGHT NOW! As a transplanted Dutchman, I also had another culture. When I CHOSE to come to Canada, I CHOSE to adopt a new way of life. Immigrants who don't want to conform to the culture of the land they choose should stay home. I NEVER stopped being grateful for having been accepted in my new home, and the home I left was not too bad to begin with. I cannot fathom how some people who left deplorable conditions can whine about their new home. Like the letter suggests, don't like it -- go home! Dear All I quizzed my instructor last night (he is just back from the USA so I couldn't check before hand) on the origins of Bassai. He believes that Bassai Dai is a very old form that has been practiced throughout the Eastern world for a very long time, although it probably has Chinese origins. Interestingly, he also believes that Bassai Sho is Master Itozu's interpretation of Bassai Dai. Does this match everyone else's understanding, or are there alternative theories? Also, I asked before if anyone did Bassai Sho with a Bong as well as empty-handed. Does anyone do that? Thanks, Nick. - ----------------------------- Nick McKenna Software Engineer *************************************************************** The contents of this Email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom it is addressed.
