"....I would certainly hate to see my daughter, or any of the kids for that matter, held back because of something I didn't ask or verify early on in the game....." Fergitit. Pay your nickel and take your chance, and may God's Grace be with you. What you want to do has actually very little to do with TKD. It does, however, have a whole lot to do with whose turf you find yourself standing on when you get to the new school. Sure, in best of all worlds you should be able to go into a new school, even a new WTF school and expect to find a place for yourself based on your experience and rank with your last instructor. Lotsa luck. You have not said anything about how you figure on working your way into the established pecking-order of the new school as outsiders. You haven't said anything about how you plan on explaining the lineage and associations of your past instructors to your new instructor in a way that would encourage them to give your past instructors any respect. You have not said anything about what efforts you plan to make to adjust to the demands (no matter how unreasonable) of the new school. Most importantly, you have not said anything about how you plan to work with your kids to help them with these same issues. My thought is not so much that you need advice from this Net as that you could use some time with your kids for developing a plan of action for identifying and adjusting to a new school. There is (at least from what I have seen in my limited time) no accreditation from the Kukkiwon(the WTF governing body) until you reach Dan(black belt) level. You would probably be asked to perform some basics or at the very least "watched" closely for several classes to assure your skill matched your belt. But in reality at green tip level you are still a beginner and even moving to a slightly different style should not cause you much pain or re-learning. If they insist you "start over" you might give the school a closer look as they may be in it only for the promotion fees and not for the "art". Just my 1/2 cent worth. You may reject, neglect, or ignore this post as you see fit. ********************************************* Mr. wallace wrote about an idiot who caught an arrow with her eye. > >From: "Wallace, John" >"Initially, we had not been advised it had been an arrow. Both are very fast, and you can turn off image loading and decide which image you want to view. No annoying popups or advertisements (If you turn off the java script). And the part I like the most is--they are immune to most of the internet-based viruses. If you just want a simple, ultra fast browser and e-mailer without any fancy bells and whistles. These two will be the best choices and its free. You can always use your IE for more fancy stuff. Regards, S. H.
