Buffy rules! :) hello, i am 14 and i live in London and i am really interested in starting a martial art, the problem is which one i should do. Could you write and tell me a martial art which involves punching, kicking and throwing and doesn't really use weaponry or wrestling or any spiritual dances and animal fighting. I would like it to look good and to feel good, and to be useful for self defence and attacking. I would like to make progress in it quickly, and i would like it to maybe use abit of gymnastic type movements at times, (like in buffy the vampire slayer), thank you very very much, melanie ------------------------------ From: Ray Terry Date: Tue, 01 Jan 2002 12:08:28 PST Subject: the_dojang: Charles E. Sereff ? Interesting to note that Black Belt magazine mentioned that a Chuck Sereff authored an article on Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan in a 1965 (I think it was) issue of Black Belt. Did ITF Grandmaster Charles E. Sereff get his start in MDK? Just curious... Was wondering if anyone can tell me the Korean word for "Sweep" or "Trip" techniques? (not "throw") And is "Too Ki Sool" the generally accepted term for throwing techniques? While I'm at it...what is the Korean translation for the color "Orange"? And finally...if you found this too easy...how do you say "Peace Dude" :-) Ron Ron Bain Korean Hoshinsool On-Line: http://hoshinsulonline.tripod.ca ------------------------------ From: ABurrese@aol.com Date: Wed, 2 Jan 2002 02:28:20 EST Subject: the_dojang: Streetfighting Essentials Streetfighting Essentials just released!
