It stuck with me and last night I found the link. www.intel.com/cure I have been running the program for many months and it does not interfere with the operation of my computer at all. I will mention that in the setiathome newsgroup there was discussion (or conspiracy theory) that you were donating time to big drug companies that would make profits off of your computer time. For me I first want cancer cured then we can fight over who deserves the profits. --__--__-- Message: 3 Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 19:51:51 -0600 From: "Bruce Sims" To: Subject: [The_Dojang] Re: Glenn stuff Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Dear Ray: "....>Second, we ask that you keep in mind that we are currently boycotting >the support of the mailing list called Dojang Digest. NICE GOING, RAY!! Heres' another fine mess you have gotten us into!! Think of all those folk trampling over each other to get away from this disgraceful "haven for fakes, frauds and people of lowest character." (Must have been talking about us folks from the Chicago area. Gawd knows the only thing lower than Chicagoans are dirt and Texans. Give me an 'amen', Jere!) I figure that criticism from Glenn is like a blessing from Jesus: as long as you are at odds with the likes of him you must be doing an awful lot right. Keep up the great work! Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Brian, I must admit that term grandmaster makes me laugh. The term Supreme GM, Senior GM, etc. sort of justifies that point. It is indeed getting out of hand. While I was in Korea in the summer of 2000 I never heard that term. All the 9th dan hapkido instructors I met were addressed as Master. But if you ask 5 people what the term GM means I bet you will get 5 different answers. We called Dr. Kimm He Young Dr. or Master Kimm. Dojunim Choi (the founder of hapkido) was referred to as either Dojunim or Master Choi. Every time I hear the word GM it reminds me of the first time I saw or heard the word. It was in BB magazine back in, I am guessing, the early 80's. Some out of shape, overweight man who was barely out of his teenage years but took the title of GM and was a 14th dan of some art he made up. You are either a Master/Mr./Mrs./Dr. Just my opinion....Jere R. BTW, looking forward to seeing and meeting many of you "fakes, frauds and people of the lowest character within the Korean Martial Arts" in Jackson on March 1. :) Ray Terry raymail@hpwsrt.cup.hp.com --__--__-- Message: 6 From: "michael tomlinson" To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Date: Thu, 24 Jan 2002 03:25:28 +0000 Subject: [The_Dojang] Ninjutsu Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net In the area of Ninjutsu you must ask many questions, ask the instructor who he is affiliated with? Where and when did he recieve his rank and training? Ask about his belt system and testing required, typical belt ranks in legitimate Ninjutsu are white, green, brown and then black,, you spend a lot of time in each one of these belt rankings,, also ask about the authentic training in Ninjutsu weaponry and maybe ask to see examples of how these weapons are used before you sign on the dotted line, the use of a kusarigama in Ninjutsu is the same as using a cane in Hapkido,if the person doesn't know how to use a kusarigama then in my opinion they didn't train very long or with "real" Ninjutsu people,, maybe just out of a book, if I sound a little paranoid about Ninjutsu schools, I am!! In my opinion there are almost as many fake or fraudulent Ninjutsu schools as there are Hapkido dojangs be very careful about the schools you choose,, it you need help email me personally,, I still know some authentic people who can give you some advice.. good luck. Well I meant positions like chairman of the committee, board member, or president of a given region. I would assume so, but just wanted others to give their own opinion. ===== International HKD Federation-Sun Mu Kwan USA www.ushankido.org Great stuff seeking new owners in Yahoo!
