However if you have ANY questions please do not hesitate to ask for the truth, the facts......" Thanks very much for providing the up-date on reconciliation talks. Is there any resource that you can recommend that provides regular information or updates on this process? It seems that the American news sources seem to be totally ignoring what is happening on the Korean pennisula. Also--- I have not received anything from TKD.Net but continue to get feedback from folks that the situation there is pretty much business as always. My only concern is that folks who experience the seemingly inevitable bad treatment at the hand of folks on that venue may withdraw from dialogue regarding their respective arts. Of course this would not bode well for Nets like the DD. But even worse it would reduce much needed exchange and fresh views regarding KMT. I think what I am getting around to is that if people are aware of folks who have been poorly treated by other Nets, please extend a hand of welcome and invite them to lurk around the DD for a while. Personally, I could always handle increased contributions from folks who are presently lurking and have not made the jump to "posting mode." The latter has an opt-in email service to send out daily updates on Korean current events. I find a lot of good info on korea.net and you frequently see some of it cross-posted here. > I think what I am getting around to is that if people are aware of folks who > have been poorly treated by other Nets, please extend a hand of welcome and > invite them to lurk around the DD for a while. Wow, something else that Bruce and I can agree on! :) No boycotts here, we don't need no stinkin boycotts... Be a member of -our- list and any others, all others. Contribute to any and all. Who would send something like that out about the DD? That's major disrespect to you, the DD, and the rest of us. To me, this is the only decent email list for the Korean arts (for any art for that matter). We have our disagreements, and playfully pick on each other, but there is no reason for that email. Boy, this person who sent that email must have "other issues" as in the mental kind. The DD RULES!!!! Many reputable practitioners have found their name smeared >and their reputation soiled by this type of DD member, with the latest >being threats to have their legitimate rank revoked by unscrupulous >persons. <> Geesh. I always thought I was a decent human being...Does this have something to do with me failing to update the subject lines? Although I have read a few less-than-relevant snippets here and there, I have otherwise found the DD to be a forum of support. I have a funny suspicion that those of "legitimate rank" who are so ardently opposed to the DD are the very people who need to have their self-worth/rank reaffirmed... I would like to extend my sincere GRATITUDE to all the "fakes, frauds and people of the lowest character" on the DD who have listened to my rants, giving me advise and answered my often detailed and silly questions. Although I may never know many of you personally, the sincerity of your replies has spoken more about your character than any "rank" could symbolize... I have several friends who read/contribute-on-occation to the DD. I can assure you, they live lives well-beyond that of the average citizen. I am talking, A-class, hardworking, respectable individuals.
