It worked last week when Ms. Rosemary Phillips, Mrs Joan Gittleman, and Ms. Therese Harris recieved their 1st Dans and 2nd dan Black Belt promotion at Iron Dragon, in Houston TX . Between the plant and the excellent exhibiton of their skills, they all passed with flying colors. Currently, Hanawon, located in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, accommodates North Korean defectors but it has become necessary to set up additional settlement facilities, said an official at the Unification Ministry. The government plans to begin construction work to expand the existing facility from next month at the cost of 5.7 billion won. But we have an urgent need to accommodate the ever-increasing number of North Korean defectors as the construction will not be complete until November next year, said the official. He indicated that additional facilities are likely to be secured through rental. Hanawon, which can currently accommodate 150 people, opened in July, 1999 with the goal of providing North Korean defectors with the chance to receive education for getting accustomed to South Korean society. North Koreans are currently subject to a 2-month training session. As of May 10, the number of North Korean defectors who had arrived in South Korea this year totaled 488. --__--__-- Message: 4 Date: Sun, 16 Jun 2002 18:00:56 -0700 (PDT) From: "Grant D. I actually got the book from his brother, and he gave me permission to reprint the material contained within. Your idea seems lot better than the poor quality Kinko's ideal I first came across.
