Then I spray painted a red vertical line about 5 inches wide and it runs vertically down the middle of the target,, I try to stay on that vertical line when I throw. I think the 2 by 4's work great and are sturdier than plywood, when the thing gets nasty I can just throw the whole thing away and make another one,, very cheaply. Cyrus, Headmaster > International Chosondo Federation > Choson Kwon Bup - Hapkido - Taekwondo > 7252 Valley Ave > Philadelphia, PA 19128 > Mr. Cyrus- I am interested in your position. You probably don't remember me, but the last time I saw you, you were studying Hapkido. Then, about 10-11 years , you broke off and started learning Chosondo and quickly gained the headship of that art probably 7-8 years ago? I am respectfully interested in understanding how this is possible. Although I don't completely deny that it is, how much of your Hapkido background (which I admit, was quite formidable) is blended into this art. If not, how complicated is this art of Chosondo. Can others gain ability and rank as quickly? Do you think your background in martial-arts helped you to grasp techniques and concepts better. You know, it's hard to ask this question without sounding rude, but I've been involved in martial-arts for many years and I have seen many people who have "jumped" rank, gone to other systems, made up their own styles etc. and I am truly curious how legitimite this is from somebody who I know was legitimate in something else. The truth is that KJN Hwang Kee fought to remain independent. Information can be a very dangerous thing - it's important that we get the right information. Mine comes from "The History of the Moo Duk Kwan" by KJN Hwang Kee - in it is a photograph of the supreme court decision that allowed the Moo Duk Kwan (teaching Tang Soo Do/Soo Bahk Do) to remain independent. Soo Bahk!! Cliff > I read your discussion of why taekwondo and Tang Soo Do were not included > in the > Kidohae charter in 1963.
