If caffeine in soda is bad, what about the caffeine in coffee or green tea? I rather occasionally drink coffee and have tea every other day or so. Does caffeine have any value nutritionally? I drink plenty of water, 3-4 qts daily. Does that help, or affect the end results? I have read that caffeine intake can inhibit ki flow in the body. What are your thoughts on that? Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Can't get this tune outta my head "...we do'nt burn our draft cards down on main street...blah blah blah...I am an Okie from Muskogee...blah duh duh..." Well, although I have another job interview for a position in DC on Thursday, the position is not yet funded. I need to make tracks for this job in Tulsa since I will be in a Director's position. So, does In Yung Foo or Moo Goo Gai Pan or any other mystical Asian guy live in Tulsa area who can provide some good ole boy martial arts lessons ? Hmmmn, I just had an image of a Korean Grand Master walking down main street Tulsa with a cowboy hat on...singing this song in broken Korean "Hey good looking...what'd ya got cooking...how bout cooking something up with meeeeeeeeeeee..."(Hank Williams). Folks...send those cards and letters about places to train in Tulsa. Thanks, McD... Yahoo! I've been studying there since 97. GM Kim is a font of information and great practitioner, I feel very lucky to be able to study under him. If you're ever in the area ( invitation extended to everyone) stop by, and bring your dobok and come work out. You can attend any class if you like. Black Belt class is officially Wednesday but usually there is a few of us practicing under GM Kim or his son Eric's tutelage after class any other day. Mondays and Wednesdays are a good time to catch GM Kim. He's usually there everyday but he has a new obsession with golf and with the summer you may find him on the links. You can go to www.jinpalhapkidodc.com for directions and class times. Tell em Brian sent ya. P.S. Ken has been by but didn't work out, guess his Chevy was calling him. P.S.S. Ken you ever been to Griff's Place (formerly George's Tavern) on RT 108 (5500 Olney - Laytonsville Road), great Honky Tonk band on Fridays. www.tybraddock.com --__--__-- Message: 11 From: jmchie@wideopenwest.com To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Date: Wed, 24 Jul 2002 08:45:58 -0600 Subject: [The_Dojang] Will any of you be here? Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net I recently found this seminar being offered in my area (Chicagoland): http://hapkidokarateseminar.com/ I have never been to a martial arts seminar before, so I am fervently looking forward to going. I think I am at a level where I will really be able to learn and retain some useful information. I have never met Grandmaster Ji, Han Jae, and I don't know if I will since I won't be going to the banquet, but I hope the level of instruction to be very good. I cannot afford to do all of the sessions, so I had to pick 3. I would love to know if anyone from this list will also be attending so I can put some names to faces. That is, if the throws don't scramble my memory of the whole event.
