Did I imply that they WERE a part of "traditional" NA fighting arts when I mentioned Blaise Loong and some of the material that he teaches? Color me more clueless. Thanks. <> Dear Craig, No, I did not read you as implying that euro blade techniques were a part of traditional NA fighting arts. You were only relating info about Mr. Loong's material. My reply should have just been a post to the list with out being addressed to you specifically. 10,000 pardons..... I'm always clueless :-) Leaves me so much more to learn. Dear Kirk (Mr. Lawson), Thank you for posting. Can you direct me to a website or ISBN that I could research the flint tomahawk. And/or can you answer a question. Chicken or egg....Does history show that the flint TH was an evolution of the war hammer and later copied by european blacksmiths, or was the flint TH copied from the euro blades often given in trading, etc...? Inquiring minds want to know. Charles Richards __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I would eat anything I wanted 1 day a week and still maintained my weight. While losing weight I found I could add more carbs to one or two meals a week (supper) as long as I finished eating within 1 hour. ( One of the methods found in Dr Atkins book credited to the authors of "The Carbohydrate Addicts Diet". However, I got "bored" with the diet and went back to carbs and gained all my weight back and then some! Do you have any advice as to what and when to eat to stay faithful to this way of eating? I sure felt and looked much better when I was sticking to the low carb way of eating! Police said Leopoldo Pangilinan, 47, a machine welder and a resident of Malaun St., Malabon City, was badly bruised after receiving a flurry of kicks and punches from his would-be victim, six-months pregnant Clarissa de Guzman, 25, married and a resident of Obando, Bulacan. De Guzman told police she was walking by Bonifacio Market in Monumento when Pangilinan accosted her, brandishing a knife. De Guzman said she did not resist and allowed Pangilinan to divest her of her valuables. When she saw the man had relaxed his guard, she suddenly gave him a kick learned in Tae Kwon Do, stunning him and knocking the knife from his grip. The surprised man attempted to flee but she felled him with a rapid succession of kicks and punches. Bystanders who witnessed the scuffle subdued the man and brought him to the nearest police station. --__--__-- Message: 4 Date: Sat, 9 Nov 2002 18:52:34 -0800 (PST) From: freddie bishop To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] Fort Wayne seminar Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net I plan on attending the Fort Wayne Hapkido Seminar given by Master West at the Anthony New Hapkido school.Hapkido is completely new to me, so I am definitely "Joe white belt"! I hope I can pick up some useable techniques. Tae Kwon Do is what I have had formal instruction in, so I'm curious to see how Hapkido differs from Tae Kwon Do. If Master West could give some explanation on the list as well as what subjects will be covered at the seminar I would find that helpful so I'm not going into the semiar blind.
