Hmm - I emailed him a couple of years ago, and he seemed fine. You should find him here: http://www.johnchung.com/ However, he might do a nice form, but he is doing it early seventies ITF style. The ITF basics have changed A LOT since then. Anyone know of a respected self defense related dojang in that area (North Chicago and above)? The Internet is only so helpful. Thanks. Joe --__--__-- Message: 3 From: "Lasich, Mark D." Did anyone read a the December issue of Black Belt Magazine? There was supposed to be a writeup on GM Hwang Kee in there, but since I began looking for it in mid-November, all I could find was January 2003 issues? I guess I should look in October for a December magazine! Anyway, since I began my training in U.S. Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan in 1981, I am very interested in the article. Are there any comments from those who may have read it? Thank you. I'm working on expanding them and modifing them so that they fit our system of sparring. I want to incorporate our throws and blocking. You have given me a great starting point. Thanks once again. On page 31 he states "...sometimes I can read someone's mind and predict what's going to happen." Hmmmm, just had me wondering. Ray, you train, or currently train, with GM Ji Han Jae correct? Did you ever encounter any of these mind-reading situations of his? As a Gup student I used to hear stories from my instructor and other instructors about Masters being able to stop bulls with one punch, or being able to strike someone in the chest area so hard and so fast that they could reach in and pull out their heart and show it to them before they died...... I'm sure some, if not most, of it was b.s. Just curious. Anyone else have any old similar stories of such feats? James C. But given you mention he said "sometimes", I have felt that I have sometimes read someone's mind and predicted what was going to occur. Most of us probably have. Yes? Probably more of reading one's expression or body language or ?? instead of reading the mind, but... Am anxious to see this latest issue. But given I am a subscriber I seem to be one of the last to see it...
