I get email from all sorts wondering if I have taught various groups too. I can actually say, that I have taught Navy SEALs, Rangers, USMC Recon and SWAT. Not that I have ever had a contract with any of those agencies, but yes, some of my students have been associated or been members of those groups...so I can safely say, I have trained actual Seals, Rangers, Recon and Swat. It is a ridiculous notion that so many lay claim to being some type of exclusive trainer to the spec ops community. If you dig a bit, you probably won't find their name on any DOD invoice or police agency training roster. I have a running list of agencies I have worked with, but included is a note that I have trained members from those agencies, and not necessarily the entire group. Apparently, the public seem to like the marketing that so-in-so is a spec ops trainer, so he must be really good. Some of the ads feature the real deal instructors who have been actual operators is various agencies. Some feature fakes. Since both of you have firsthand information after talking to Dojunim Ji Han Jae, I'm curious as to know if you are going to go public with this information? If you do there are a couple of points you may wish to consider: 1) people will appreciate the information as you will be preventing them from spending money on a fraud. 2) people will consider this a baseless attack on on his character by those who are jealous. Both of these are accurate. My recommendation is to tread cautiously with this information. Hapki! Master Frank Clay Haemukwan Hapkido PS. Shame on you Mr. Nabors for illegally practicing Hapkido!! But after being quickly corrected, he backed down. I guess the next step in this misadventure was to try fooling the readers of TKDT. Sad... BTW, my January issue of TKDT finally arrived four days ago.
