I am a practitioner and lifelong student of TSD but also have an E Dan
in TKD and have studied and attained under black belt ranking in Aikido

private instruction in many other arts such a WC, JKD, etc.

What all of this has helped me to do is understand TSD better and
although I use bits and pieces of what I've learned over the years in my
training and instruction, my core is still TSD.

Once you have attained high ranking in TSD (you mentioned Sam Dan), the
time comes for you to not only continue your learning process, but also
to contribute to your art by applying this knowledge in your instruction
and with your colleagues.

That just blows me away.  I mean its one thing to make ridiculous claims to

question remains is why TKDTimes would print something
with out first investigating further into the claims
or is this a total misunderstanding of the reader of
the article (ie We read more into it than needed be).

Perhaps I should re-read the article, but since I don't have time at this 
moment and I'm walking out the door, weren't many of these comments regarding 
Chris Garland being the "shadow" or the only westerner to know "old school" 
Hapkido, made by GM Ji himself....

If this is the case, why did he make those statements?  If he didn't and TKDT 
made those remarks quoting him, that would be fraudalent and why wouldn't he 
make them accountable.

I noted that there are different lengths (5' or 6') in adult staffs.  

At what height would a user switch lengths?  IE  What length would a 
person of  5'5" use?

I have to agree with Mr. Gadjostik.  I have taught a few, by happenstance, but never on an arranged basis with the military/police/FBI, etc.  They were always quiet about stuff, at least until after you know them a while and "sea stories" start over libations.  But never braggards, and I find it pretty unlikely that they would really advertise, ESPECIALLY if they had to pay for the ad.
