Actually, I AM 60 and still get around fairly well for having one foot in the grave and one on a banana peel, and I have been teaching HapKiDo for 36 years and still teach every night, and hold dans in AiKiDo and TKD (KTA 4th dan from the 70's, but haven't done a form since), so you can form your own opinion. As far as staying harder or quicker, I'm well aware that skills fade with time, I know mine have to some extent, BUT, I also notice that I have become MUCH more insightful with age, and I know that one does NOT get old by being stupid. A VERY well-known Master told me when I was still a young 1st dan, "young men kick fast, but old men think fast, beware of old men".....JRW www.hapkido.com --__--__-- Message: 2 From: "Braeswood Martial Arts" To: Date: Thu, 9 Jan 2003 16:55:03 -0600 Subject: [The_Dojang] Heart over skill Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net I can attest (from personal experience) that it takes much more heart to fight a good battle then skill. I personally choose heart, honesty and integrity over good show of skill. Kat --__--__-- Message: 3 From: "Braeswood Martial Arts" To: Subject: Re: [The_Dojang] How about this?
