I'm just starting to feel a bit more confident with what I would consider to be the basics of this martial art. I have already been asked to enter into a local competition, which seems premature to me. Is this a "normal" occurence to be asked to compete so early in my training? What have others experienced? As for Intensive that all depends on the participants. GM SEO is excellent and regardless of who is there it is what you make of it. When I wnet to his seminars I basically claimed a mat for me and my partner and we got very intense. As for people that practice a style of Hapkido that doesn't teach Dan Jon breathing or Air Falls beware. Because if GM Seo grabs you you better know how to fall and if he Palm Strikes you, you better do Dan Jon breathing or you are in for an eye opener. And for all the so called Masters that will be there I doubt many of them will be training. From experience they usually just stand around and watch. Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net FYI, we're about to head down to UNLV (Las Vegas) for the US Open to meet some friends and hopefully get to watch a few matches. So... during the next few days the lists may be slower than normal, but hopefully not too slow...
