Per the Kukkiwon, here 'tis. Pooms wear the half-red / half-black belt instead of a black belt. A good way to go... We have never offered HKD to children because of the abundance of joint locks. I've always been told that a persons joints don't fully develop until the mid to late teen years leaving them very vulnerable to damage (maybe not realized until later in life) when subjected to joint locks. We also leave out the joint lock self-defense techniques in our Tae Kwon Do curriculum when teaching children for the same reason. Other than that, our TKD curriculum is exactly the same for children as it is for adults. A similar philosophy applies to breaking. How do you deal with this issue in your classes since many of you teach children? -Chris --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang http://the-dojang.net It's a great day for Taekwondo!
