To have a sword polished can run as high as $100 per linear inch. Often a good polisher is the best resource as they will refit and polish these custom swords in-between projects). Obviously they wouldn't touch reproduction swords like the ones from kris cutlery (they do not even disassemble for cleaning), but there is something to be said for a disposable blade for less than $300. After-all, if you damage it, you just throw it away. Jere R. I would like to make an appropriate gift to my instructor, a mid-sixties yo Korean-American. (I'm pretty sure he doesn't read the DD.) Are there traditional gifts for this occasion? Or does anyone have a suggestion? Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net <<<>>> Andrew, I would hope that when Charles gave me the engagement ring he knew that marriage would follow. Even though we have been engaged for over 18 months there is a wedding in our near future. In fact November 22 is getting closer and closer everyday!!!! Originally Charles and I were going to get married in Sept. but you know those Jackson seminars.... The SARS thing is actually SCARS, and the reason we take the medicine AFTER training is to prevent accidental SCARS. You are however quite correct that the amount of medicine has a bearing on caring:) Sincerely, Rudy Craig, you crack me up:) --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang http://the-dojang.net It's a great day for Taekwondo!
