In fact they told the same stories. I would like to point out that it took a long time to learn this technique properly and it was not until I was a 4th dan in the early 90's that I felt comfortable performing this technique in public. It has now been over a decade since this time and I still enjoy this doing this technique during my demonstrations. Jere R. Two things. One, common sense. Two, because even the Chinese system does not claim it sets broken bones. It is used for bruising, swelling, minor aches and pains....." My apologies for not remembering the name of the person who originally raised this issue. However, did I read that this particular concoction increases the number of osteocytes? The only reason I ask is that usually when folks talk about these remedies the results are couched in more subjective terms like "made me feel better" or "helped me heal faster". I'm interested to know if someone actually did research that verified increased tissue or cellular activity. Not much objective studies when it comes to oriental medecine sometimes. This could be of some help. Using DDJ or ZGS for relief of minor aches and pains or to help with bruising is one thing. I use them and they have helped, in some insteances. But, and a big but, they will not cure arthritis or fix broken bones or make the average patient's boobs grow larger....." In as much as I am content with the size of my boobs, this issue is of no interest. However, I have gotten mixed signals about whether DDJ is effective in addressing arthritis and would be willing to listen if anyone has well-resourced responses. Failing that, do people here follow any particular protocols that they HAVE found effective in dealing with osteo arthritis. In this manner the star field is always on its right hand side. Thus if you were looking at it, as most of us do, the stars are always on the left. Make sense? wrt the Korean flag I've been told by Korean military types that the flag is only displayed in landscape orientation. When I have asked, "but how is it to be oriented when displayed vertically?", I've been clearly told, "it is never to be displayed that way!". Perhaps because the rule of "red always up" cannot be followed. Or perhaps they were wrong...??? In any case, it seems to be displayed that way (vertically) in most KMA schools. Correction: I recently found out that the General had promoted other 9th Dans, but they (for whatever reason) left the organization. I _think_ there are/were two: Kang Young, who has subsequently joined the "Canadian" (i.e. Master Choi, Jung Hwa) group, and Park Jung Tae (spelling?), who I believe has since passed away. I am of small build and have always favoured weapons over my unarmed tools. Learning about these possibilites will help keep me going in the years ahead as I try to survive starting training in Gicheon Mun. If I ever escape Korea, and if I am ever able to get to a Jackson seminar I don't think I will be one of those brave souls who beg to be smited with this attack. Even a 5% strike would probably smash me like a bowl of eggs. :) ===== Anthony Boyd: Swordsman and English Teacher www.stormpages.com/haidonggumdo ______________________________________________________________________ Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues available @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com Copyright 1994-2003: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
