Although it was moderately interesting, that "tournament circuit" stuff is a whole different world compared to my experience. Although the physical abilities of some of these guys were very impressive, it somehow evokes the image of a beauty contest, or talent show, to me. Everything has its place however, and more power to them. The worst part of it is the image it creates for the non-martial artist. Guys at work were raving about how awesome these guys are, and I just nod my head and think to myself "sure thing, if you think so". All I managed to see in the first hour was those ribs being broken, over and over again. But that fella just kept popping up off the floor good as new. I don't get it :) What bothered me most was there were so many previews and recaps right in the show that there was no time left for any real content. I was bored and disappointed so I didn't even bother with the second hour. If I had taped it, I could FF through it like someone wrote earlier.
