I have not seen nor heard from him since we confronted him on his frauding us. Gary Pointer called me and asked what was going on, and that he was unaware of any wrong doing, but other than that, NO word at all. " I had a phone call from him as well. Basically telling me that Bae was wrong and the Lee, Jae Whan was behind the fake papers. He is into this thing up to his ears, or he is completely blind. He has the attitude that HE met with Bae at Hack's house and that HE knows what is going on and everything else is some lie, or falsehood put forth to destroy Hackworth. The sad thing is, Hackworth could have done alot if he had wanted to, instead he squandered his time on malicious personal attacks, falsehoods, and general malfeasance. _________________________________________________________________ There are now three new levels of MSN Hotmail Extra Storage! I believe he's primarily "American Karate" as far as that side of his school goes. I think he does some "cardio kickboxing" type stuff, also. He also has a purple belt under Royce Gracie, and his school is one of the certified locations in Royce's network of Training Associations...so she could get some good grappling on the side if she took an interest. His website is www.memphiskarate.tv . Jeff Mullen is also in Memphis. I think he's primarily shotokan, but offers different stuff. I think Jeff is a former world champion kickboxer, and I believe he also does some Muay Thai these days. A former boss of mine used to train with him, and he always had good things to say about Jeff. Jeff has been a judge at the UFC on numerous occasions, and I also believe he judges at the K-1 events...so, you can bet he knows what he's doing. I met him one time at a local NHB event (he refereed, and I was a judge), and he seemed very nice and professional. Jeff is also the cousin of a good friend of mine that I like to train with whenever I see him (Max Bishop), so I'm pretty confident that Jeff's good people. I think Jeff is also into grappling (BJJ and shootwrestling), but I'm not sure what he specifically offers in that regard or who he's affiliated with. Definitely give him a look. Memphis is also the home of Kang Rhee (for those that have heard of him). Not too sure about him. He's the founder of Pasa-ryu, and his claim to fame is that he taught Elvis way back in the day. Seems like I had an eye doctor that trained with him a LONG time ago, but I don't remember enough to say much. May want to check it out. I've seen his folks compete at tournaments way back in the 80's, and they used to tear it up in the forms division. Actually, his Pasa-ryu forms are noted for their visual effect. Nothing too fancy...somewhat traditional in nature...but very nice looking forms. You can pretty much find it all in Memphis. TKD, karate, kung-fu, Aikido, Kali, Muay Thai, grappling, etc. There's TKD all over the place...big shock, eh? The problem is that some of the best teachers run small clubs and are hard to find. I would keep doing what you're doing...get on e-mail lists, and forums and just try to compile a big list of names and addresses. Then check 'em out. It would be useful to know the age of this female in order to help steer a little more. I would make a different recommendation to a 23-year-old Feminazi fitness fanatic, as opposed to a 9 year-old that's been reared in a tailored children's program. You know what I mean? Feel free to contact offline. I've lived within an hour of Memphis all of my life, and lived on the outskirts of it for four years...so I can definitely help make some calls and hunt folks down. Take care. CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE This email transmission contains privileged and confidential information intended only for the use of the individual or entities named above. But that is at the local level and we live in the country. In 2000 at the Peace Festival in Bloomington with the Dali Lama, the entire front section was devoted to clergy of all faiths and it was full. So it does happen. Peter: Glad to hear your dojang gets along with others. That is the way it should be. Most on this group are that way also. In fact, I will be teaching a hapkido class at a taekwondo dojang tonight! Agreed. I told him a year or two ago that if he would just come clean about the KMAIA et al scams, that at least some people would be able to forgive him and let him start over. Now it is too late, far too late... RIP, Hack.
