It's always nice to know what others think and have already experienced. It helps save time for me, and as we know time is valuable. Unfortunately, I'm currently a starving martial artist. So, Mr. Rudy Timmerman the seminars will have to wait for now, but please keep me posted. I've known a lot of crooks out in the martial art world. To date, more than not. I am VERY interested to meet people of an honest and honorable class. Luke --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo! If you want to get rid of it, just tell them that you can in no way arrange for Visas. It seems these folks just want to find a way to get sponsored into the US or Canada. Legit or not, who wants to bring anyone from these "sensitive areas" into the country these days:) Sincerely, Rudy" absolutely...agreed. sorry for the late reply on this one. wasnt planning on sponsoring anyone. just thought it was an interesting twist on an old one. take care, mel :) Chajonshim Martial Arts Academy www.cjmaa.com 1.573.673.2769 Chajonshim Martial Arts Supply www.cjmas.com 1.877.847.4072 --__--__-- Message: 3 From: Ray Terry To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net (The_Dojang) Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2004 18:05:12 -0800 (PST) Subject: [The_Dojang] Summer Institute (fwd) Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Forwarding... Dear Colleagues, Once again the Center for Korean Studies at the University of Hawai'i and the East-West Center will be sponsoring a field trip to study Korean culture and society. Many of you have colleagues who would benefit from this introduction to Korea. This is not for Korean specialists but for our colleagues in other areas who really should know something about Korea to enhance their teaching. Please share this with them.Thank you. Institute on Korean Culture and Society May 24 - June 21, 2004 Four-week institute, two weeks in Hawaii and two weeks in Korea for 20 faculty. This will be the fourth Korea Institute program. Because of Korea Foundation requirements, priority is given to those who teach courses on East Asia that do not adequately address Korea. Led by U.H. Professor and Director, UH Center for Korean Studies, Ned Shultz. Hosted in Korea by Seoul National University and Kyongpook University in Taegu. Cost: roundtrip airfare to Honolulu and $700. * Institute on Korean Culture and Society Information * Application form -PDF * --- Application form -in RTF format * Calendar -PDF Edward J. A group calling itself KIHAP, Korean International Hapkido Accreditation Program, is selling paper that includes the signatures/names of many Hapkido masters, doing so without their knowledge. Including no less than that of Oh Se-Lim, President of the KHF. Some have contacted Mr. Ed Annibale instructing him to cease this practice. More will no doubt be doing likewise in the near future. KIHAP. Caveat emptor...
