I am very sorry that I found out differently. But even if this is true, that politics abound in every art, then I would still be studying KMA. Wouldn't it be a better place to be if those with the most experience and those with the biggest egos could join together on the mat and find the middle ground. Sadly I don't think this will ever happen, the little Dick Hacksmurf's of the world will always be there to foul things up. I know this is just commentary, but I thought it needed to be said. re-entering Lurk-Mode RichGet more from the Web. Although a kind of physical exercise, this form of yoga also teaches one to awaken the senses to the body’s energy (or “ki”) and use it to improve mental and physical health, eventually helping people realize their true selves through multi-sensory experiences. The ultimate purpose of Dahn Hak is to recover one’s original perfection as a holistic being of body, mind and spirit, and to benefit all humankind and the world by helping others re-discover their own perfect nature. After all, according to Dr. Lee, “individual and group enlightenment are but different sides of the same coin. They cannot be separated.” Kuk Sun Do, the Other Korean Yoga Seeking to help individuals become more well-rounded, Kuk Sun Do incorporates yoga, breathing techniques, meditation, acupressure and massage therapy to gradually unblock energy channels of the body and mind. This is accomplished through gentle, systematic stretches, coupled with specific breathing patterns performed in special postures to stimulate healthy functioning of the internal organs. Ideally, as one progresses through the different levels of Kuk Sun Do, the body and mind move toward a naturally harmonious balance, leading to increased vitality, enhanced peace of mind and expanded self-awareness." Just curious to see if it is practiced like many arts do it or more like the Isshinryu folks do it, which is a bit different. Of course, they (Isshinryu) claim their Naihanchi is the original form of the, err, form... These I received a similar request off-list. There are areas where it is difficult to remove personal information without blanking other parts of the certificates. If you read what I wrote, you will find that I said much the same as you, only in a much more simple context(simple is as simple does). To put it plainly, I'm NOT the enemy. Anyway, I THOUGHT what I said was to get as close to the original source as you can(for either) and work from there. This would, of course involve ferreting out such details as you so aptly described. And I also am tired of such as what is going on with the wrong sorts being considered notables or authorities by a publication that prositutes space to the highest bidder with no apparent research into the claims of said parties. Ah well, enough of defensive prattle, keep fighting the good fight, I'll go "lick my wounds" and get over it. Pap always said "a good whompin' is good fer most anybody from time to time". However I received info on another group. A man by the name of John Merwin led me to it. You can find info at www.katateinsurance.com . It's only $8.95 per students. I have not found anything cheaper and it seems to be good insurance. Thanks again for trying to help. To Eddie, Your response was very interesting. I have never heard of the medicines you were referring to. I'm willing to try anything to increase and intensify my conditioning. I will have to check those recommendations out. Harmonious power, or coordinated power allows for the use of power by the Hapkidoist. The power added by the Hapkidoist should be minimal, and should be in concert with an opponent, taking his balance. In more advanced applications, the Hapkidoist may try to encourage (trick) an opponent into applying force, giving us some energy to direct. Hapkido is also a way of life (IMHO). Learn to get along. Decrease stress. Sincerely, Steve _________________________________________________________________ Click, drag and drop.
