I'm interested in any korean swords, from straight to curved, demo to combat/cutting......" Sehyun is the single largest source for swords of Korean architecture. They have their own website and can handle direct E-L inquiries. There are also a number of western source who handle their line. A typical sword can run between $700US and $1400US. As far as a wol-do or hyop do, COLD STEEL is selling a Chinese QuanDao (wol-do) for about $390US. KRIS CUTLERY is selling a naked Hyop-do blade which needs to be mounted and furnished. I have also seen a naginata (hyop do) by Kris and have seen a SS version put out by someone else (the name escapes me at the moment)but THAT blade is SS and the standard SS disclaimers and warnings apply if you have thoughts about doing any sort of cutting. Try not to hurt yourself.Seems like everybody with a bellybutton who wants to get into Korean sword is always looking for a cutting blade on the cheap. You can purchase a cheap rerpo sword on E-BAY for less than $100US but will get no more than what you pay for. Serious study may require serious investment of time and funds. Looking to do things on the cheap is a good way to guarentee that corners aren't the only thing that will get cut. FWIW. That was my first sight of the style. The school members seem to respect each other, the instructor was top notch in his ability to explain the techniques.
