What a wonderful man. I hope to have a tenth of his knowledge when I'm his age. He would use his stick as a cane as he made it around the room, and the gentle effectiveness and refinement of his technique was evident whenever he demonstrated. There were many times when his demos would cause a collective gasp from the participants as he showed his unique perspectiveand gave something many had never seen before. The best word to sum it up is WOW. The cool part of the experience was that during a break, the GM gave my 14mo old one of his sticks, grabbed his other one and crossed sticks...providing him his first lesson in Escrima. Not bad having an intro lesson by the man himself... Just thought i'd share. Looking forward to seeing some of you in Oregon at Master Timmerman's HKD seminar! But you'll have to travel to New Jersey. Jungki Hapkido is taught in Clifton, NJ which is about 20 minutes outside of Manhattan. I find Jackson to be centrally located, cheap to fly to, a very friendly and safe area (I'm originally from New Orleans). To boot the training is excellent and the people are awesome! Don't miss this event! I have been going to GM West's seminars for about 10 years now and the weather has always been wonderful, the places to eat superb, and the company, including folks from out of town, for the most part, exceptional. I have spent a large part of my personal time going to Mississippi to train with Master West and his most dedicated students, not because it was a popular place to visit, simply because it is an extraordinary experience. One, that I think, serious martial artists, need to explore. I can not endorse another seminar more highly than Master West's. It is a great learning experience for all from white belt to gazillionth dan. If you want further confimation of this, ask your own Master, SaJaNim Rudy Timmerman. have fun, Rich _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list, 1600 members The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net Copyright 1994-2004: Ray Terry and Martial Arts Resource Standard disclaimers apply http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang --__--__-- Message: 7 Date: Mon, 9 Aug 2004 17:21:41 -0700 (PDT) From: Charles Richards To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] Moja Kwan Moo Do #4 Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net I read "Is this the same location that you used for last years seminar?
