I was planning an out of town trip when I had a motorcycle accident Friday (went off the side of the road into a ditch). I didn't wind up going out of town but was too sore to change plans and make it to your tournament. I'll definatelly plan on it for next year! Glad yall had a good time. Greetings... I like the official Olympic website, at http://www.athens2004.com/... Well organized and easy to find results, who's paired up for the next round, etc. I'm not only keeping an eye on TKD, but also on judo, wrestling and archery... The site has a neat little animation (http://www.athens2004.com/infographic/en/TK.html) explaining the competition area for TKD, the judging, scoring, and even some strategy... Had to laugh though... On the Part 3, where it talks about tactics, one animated competitor attacks his opponent and yells a loud, um, "Kiai"... :) Must have been a karate dude doing the Flash development :) <> - Bert Edens Springdale, Arkansas --__--__-- Message: 4 From: Ray Terry Subject: Re: [The_Dojang] Hong Won chou To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Date: Tue, 17 Aug 2004 14:57:18 -0700 (PDT) Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net > What dan rank did the new president of WTF have before he became president > and what rank will he now have? Some nfo about President Choue may be found in issue vol 11, num 274 of the_dojang. I doubt he is active in teaching the physical skills of Taekwondo. He may not even have actual master rank as that would not be required to run the WTF. His background is in administration, at the university level and the Korea Sports Council. Holding the WTF presidency does not bestow any particular Dan rank on the individual.
