Maybe Masters Terry, Richards, McHenry, etc., could each shed some (Of their experiences) light on this subject? Peace, SMA __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! When I was able to get on my feet again I started Tae kwon do in order to strengthen my now limited ankle. I can do straight in attacks without any problems, but, anything that requires torque (rounds) is painful. We're now working on high rounds and spin hooks and these are excruciating for me to put that much spin on my ankle. I've tried braces and exercises with no success and I'm thinking of getting pansy shoes because I work bare footed. Is there someone with similar circumstances, did you find anything that worked for you or did you soldier on? Thanks for you input Carl --__--__-- Message: 3 From: Ray Terry To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net (The_Dojang) Date: Fri, 3 Sep 2004 10:01:45 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [The_Dojang] Labor Day Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Wishing all out there in the USA a fun and safe Labor Day weekend. Ray is fine, if you are in fact referring to me... :) As far as I can recall, I have only heard it referred to as don/dahn. Back in the dark ages, before we had many books, stuff on the Internet, etc, one only heard these things by ear, you didn't see them in written form that much (for me at least). I recall seeing it written the first time, e.g. 1st Dan, and wondered what was going on. Who is this guy Dan and why is he first?!?
