Jarrod, my host, took me to an fine shop in Taejeon where I was able to buy a traditional Han Bok including the pants, jacket, vet and three shirts for about $325US. I'm sure that I have the name and address around here somewhere if people are interested. I will also say that the quality of the workmanship was better than that of the one I purchased some time ago here in the States, though the one bought Stateside is a tad more "dressy". FWIW. BTW: Casting back to earlier exchanges on the nature of training uniforms I am happy to report that the students at Kim Yun Sangs' Hapkiyusool schools are transitioning from the old double-weave Judo uniforms to using modified Han Bok for their Do Boks. For myself I would like to see this trend continue. Don't know if anyone out there has any .wav files on a site for these terms or not.. Thank you. As most here know, I am a member of the US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation. I am very familiar with the testing procedures with in the Moo Duk Kwan. My question is what are the testing requirements for gup level students at other organizations. (i.e. time requirements, tournament activity, breaking, travel-vs-in do-jang test, testing is preformed by whom etc.) For Dan test same type question. Are there written essays required, break requirements, age requirements etc. I would also be interested to know about Ko Dan Ja testing. Where, When, How one is recommended etc. I am not looking to have a competitive conversation I am just wondering. Wrong. A sixth dan would be a third dan in a five level system. HK _________________________________________________________________ Don’t just search. Find. Kip, Either you are a few years behind the times or you know something that I don't. No promotions for me in recent years. And I am already the self- proclaimed Grand Poohbah of the Internet... nothing higher than that. :) And thanks for volunteering. Any others out there want a shot at it? I'm sure that Kip is more than busy instructing our soon-to-be Army officers.
