This will be my first with a baby in the house, so it is extra special. Cosette is 9 1/2 months old, so the tree, gifts, and everything else have her enjoying each day. It is going to be fun watching her open things Christmas morning. May everyone have fun and stay safe through the holidays! Trust that I have their best interests at heart. Trust that I will challenge them without overwhelming them. Trust that I can coach and encourage without bullying or dominating. Sadly, I must also report that Trust is a very delicate commodity. As much as I work on it all the time, any good teacher will tell you that it can get blown away in a second and be a long time returning." MC Reply, A great way to end the year...we agree :-) Interesting connection, last night a former neighbor called me about re-enrolling her son in our program. They discontinued last summer when their minivan went in the shop to the tune of $2,000, and felt they could no longer budget for MA lessons (sound familiar instructors?). Of course when school started they wanted him back in something active so he (age 10) and the 3 y/o daughter enrolled in a local gymnastics program that fit their budget and schedule. About 6 months ago the place was closed down and made the paper....because one of the instructors was caught soliciting minors via email.... I am flattered that they have enough trust to bring their child back to our school, but it sadens me that people don't see the value of traditional martial arts training earlier on in the process. How often have we seen a curious, timid new white belt start developing some basic motion and confidence, make it to green belt and then give up as soon as life presents an obstacle? I guess that's why there are so few of us silly gray bearded old bastards, neh? Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Believe it or not, it snowed in and around Houston Christmas eve. To prove it, I posted some photos on my forum. Look what you are missing Jere! :-) Look close - it's hard to see - I put a quarter on the hood of my truck so you can tall just how large the snow was. You can see it covered up the cars, etc. We may spend all day Christmas day digging out ;-) Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, Mac --__--__-- Message: 13 From: CStovall@nucorar.com To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Date: Mon, 27 Dec 2004 15:07:08 -0600 Subject: [The_Dojang] Sin Moo Video Training Series Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Just curious...does anyone know what's going on with the LONG awaited video tape series from GM Ji, Han Jae? I thought they were going to be released earlier this year, but the Sin Moo website still only has a "pre-order" section. Have they actually been released? If not, does anybody know when? I thought all the footage was already "in the can", and the only thing left was the editing and duping...but that was like TWO YEARS ago. Hmmmm...will we ever see these tapes? Hmmmm...will > we ever see these tapes? My -guess- is no. There were apparently some legal issues between Gm Ji and the person putting out the tapes. It was to the point that if the tapes had come out I would not have bought them given the way Gm Ji was, ummm, treated in the deal.
