I only have one/several comment(s) if he's teaching traditional Tae Kwon-Do shouldn't his curriculum consist of the Pal Que poomse or the ITF tuls? since Kukki Tae Kwon Do is fairly new 1973 (I believe). Plus check out the "Kyockpa requirements for Black Belters 2 bricks with fist, 1 block with hammer fist and I dont remember what other nonsense he had listed. Also no breaking at 2nd Dan, 3rd you must break Ice, Glass etc.... What the hell I never broke Ice before concrete yes Ice no, man am I glad I dont train under him I would have never made it past 1st Dan let alone to the Grade(s) I am today. Is he Kukkiwon Certified? What degree is he? can he break ice? NEVER MAKE YOUR STUDENTS DO ANYTHING YOU CAN'T DO. My 10 cents worth. Master Maldonado and... Yes... I am both Kukkiwon and ITF certified. --__--__-- Message: 2 From: "Thomas Gordon" To: Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2005 22:20:05 -0600 Subject: [The_Dojang] Link Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Funny blanket comments regarding martial arts with a "what they said" and "what they mean" column. http://www.atlantamartialarts.com/misc/humor/double.htm Disclaimer: I have not read every word on that site but it seemed safe enough from what I did see. Please forgive me for saying this again, but, if martial arts were accredited the likelihood of this crap would be greatly diminished as it is in colleges. I have heard great things of SBN Bob Hedges, we invited him to our UK Open TSD champs but unfortunately he had a prior engagement. Norwich to Manchester is approximately 210 miles. If you get an opportunity to go to Newcastle upon Tyne then please drop me a line and maybe we can meet up and do some training together at my dojang.
