Basically the kicks were to the groin, knees, and low spine, and used as a balance break - although they were not numbered as Master Lim mentioned, they were named. The blue uniform is for the style of swordsmanship that GM Lim founded, Chung Suk Guhapdo - Blue Stone Quick display sword. The kicks are used mostly after the balence break in conjunction with the movement of the technique. Todd, Are your kicks similar, or the same, as those demoed on the Traditional Hapkido tapes by Jong Bae Rim and Joe Sheya? To my eye the kicks shown in this video series were sweeps, not what I typically think of as kicks. ???
