It is essentially false > advertising > and should be subject to fraud. The WTF does NOT certify dojangs/schools, > black belts or instructors. There is much worse out there. I had a guy in my town that advertised as "10 degrees of black belt" I am not sure of his rank but it was not a 10th dan. I think and I do say think he was a 5th in TKD, 4th in Judo, and a 1st in Aikido. So "technically" he was "10 degrees of black belt", to the un-initiated it appeared he was a 10th dan. In Sun Suh, although a great teacher and practitioner, no longer holds office in the DaeHan Kidohwe. Kidohwe certificates are very small (about 9 x 12 inches) and say Dae Han (Hap) Kidohwe in Chinese across the bottom left side. WKF certificates are about the size of a tablecloth and glow in the dark. Kidohwe certificate numbers are sequential and indicate how many of that particular rank came before you. For example, my wife's 5th dan certificate was number 1420, and my eighth dan is number 186. I will be receiving a list of all dan holders certified by the Kidohwe since 1963 while in Korea next month.......The person mentioned is NOT on that list...........J. R.
