He was tortured for about 2 hours and came out with only minor discomforts associated with the test. I can't know of the discomfort regarding the celebration afterward. Tuan, you did a great job....I am certain that you will not be forgiven by the next unfortunate to test, for setting the bar so high. Heal well, Rich --__--__-- Message: 3 From: "Tracy Rhonda Bodnarchuk" To: Date: Sun, 15 May 2005 18:10:46 -0600 Subject: [The_Dojang] RE: Edmonton Hapkido Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Hello Ramon, I don't think I can talk to my past instructor in this matter. He is an excellent martial artist and a great teacher there is just a difference of opinions in the route he is expecting me to take. He made it loud and clear that it was his way or leave Sin Moo....so I left. I have had conversations with a Sin Moo Grand Master who has viewed my techniques and he told me I could teach just not to grade a black belt. The GM said I needed to teach to become better and I do see a large difference in my technique. When you have to explain and demonstrate a technique to a student you view it from a different angle, this has been a large growth period for me. I belive that GM is no longer in Sin Moo and is too far away to train with. I have never personally contacted Doju JI, maybe because I don't think I could afford to train with him. I have been trying to watch for seminars in the northwest US and maybe I will try to attend. For now I don't want to chase orgs for belts so until I have enough time and money (full time job, 2 active kids and 1 wife working but attending college, 1 dog, 1 cat and a fishing/ski boat)to further myself in the system. I will take what advise Master Jaques gave me when I left Mcbride BC "take care of your family first, then train". I've met Master Mike Forester (great technique) of Prince George BC and trained a little with his son Lee Forester (Nice Guy). They are Song Moo Kwan aren't they?? Tracy Bodnarchuk male version....Thanks for the name Mom and Dad. Hi Tracy Bodnarchuk, I am Ramon Navarro, a Song Moo Kwan HapKiDo from the country of Panama, been teaching 28 years and am under Grand Master Park, SongIL 9th Dan whom was a direct student and reseived his 9th Dan from Grand Master Ji, HanJae. I will recomend you write both your teacher and Master Ji explaining your situation and expect good results as answers to your dilema. Ask them for help and backup. I am sure in one way or the other you should get it. I begin my studies under Grandmaster Myung Jae Nam and Myung Jae Ok's IHF. Grandmaster Jae Ok left and formed the Hoi Jeon Moo Sool Federation. My Master Armando Granados of El Paso Texas, along with his Master Han Bae continued to teach and train under the old system IHF. Today however, The International Hapkido Federation is not what it used to be. I have contacted several Hapkido master from the old system before GM Myung's induction of Hankido and no one will respond. I had to go outside my system for hapkido promotions. Thank God there are instructor out there Like Master Scott Shaw and others who understand. Question? I'm I the only one looking for former members to share lineage and association with? Any advice would be helpful. --------------------------------- Discover Yahoo! Stay in touch with email, IM, photo sharing & more.
