I don't think the Kukkiwon charges those amounts. The Kukkiwon sets a standard price (I think 4th dan is $150 or so). Masters are given the discretion to set their own price, so any additional fees beyond what the Kukkiwon mandates goes directly to the master's pockets. I'm not a Taekwondo practitioner, so perhaps someone with more experience in this matter may want to comment. --__--__-- Message: 4 Date: Sun, 24 Jul 2005 08:53:59 -0700 (PDT) From: Lloyd Martin To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] Thanks to Master Kursch Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Just a note of thanks to Master Kursch for traveling down to Austin to tie a few of us up a bit. A great time was had by all, except the "Capital C's " that missed it. (I'm sure I will pay for that.) But most US instructors triple or better that reasonable amount to bring in more $$$. Then, of course, they claim the higher amount is the cost charged by Korea. I'm all for capitalism, but it seems like an instructor should at least be truthful to the students and let them know how much of their $$ goes to the Kukkiwon and how much is an honorarium to the instructor. I plan to go to the NRA headquarters this week and sign up. I hope to start building my gun arsenal including AR 15's, AK 47's, Glock and other pistols. I also want to sign up for Hapkido, but all the schools in my area appear to teach children in addition to adults so, as I understand it form the DD, they are not real Hapkido schools. I just kidding folks, please enjoy your KMA and shooting and be safe. --__--__-- Message: 7 Date: Sun, 24 Jul 2005 18:07:39 -0700 (PDT) From: Jye nigma To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net, itf-taekwondo@yahoogroups.com Subject: [The_Dojang] push hands clip Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=YIN-STYLE-PUSH-HANDS-TRAINING&width=320 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
