But I wish him well, and thank you for the clip(s). I have enjoyed quite a few of your postings. -Adam "Well the sparring was an hour and five minutes. The taller fellow is a BaguaZhang instructor, and the shorter gentleman is one of his pupils. He said he was just sparring and messing around with some mantis boxing techniques. If you're in NY he trains in central park...and welcomes any and all to cross hands with him. ....He personally says Karate and TKD etc are a joke compared to the Chinese internal style, and welcomes anyone from any art to show him otherwise. Anyway it doen't matter how big or fast he thinks he is, there is always someone else bigger and faster just looking for a fight. And he's probably a TKD guy. Go in Peace - Adam D P wrote: I have a huge problem with anyone who disrespects or belittles any other style. I feel that person is far less a person and martial artist if their mind is not open enough to accept the fact that there are many other styles and everyone (in the US) is free to choose what style they want to study. Respect them as a person and a martial artist and simply keep you thoughts and feelings about other styles to yourself. I am willing to bet he has never even studied TKD or any other style. Lastly, I am not impressed with his techniques and I come from a Kung Fu background, Wing Chun Kung Fu, specifically. --__--__-- Message: 4 From: "Kickin' Family" To: Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2005 22:38:57 -0500 Organization: Kickin' Family Subject: [The_Dojang] Hotel for Jackson Carpet Inspection Seminar in September... Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Greetings, all... Haven't seen anything posted about this, so here goes... And if it has been, my apologies in advance... We called today to make reservations at the Holiday Inn North... At that time, we found it has changed to a Clarion Inn... So keep that in mind when y'all make your reservations... Kinda threw us for a loop when we first called :) As of today, the hotel's not listed through Holiday Inn (www.ichotels.com) or Clarion's (www.choicehotels.com) websites... So until they get that worked out, I guess you better call :) Might want to anyway, to get the seminar rate... :) Can't wait to see everyone there... **bows** - Bert Edens, II Dan TKD Springdale, Arkansas --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/the_dojang Copyright 1994-2005: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
