JRH www.rrhapkido.com Before I had ever met Dr. Kimm via the semi-annual Jackson goatroping, buffet and HKD event I called him to purchase more of his books. I had purchased one HKD book through GM Ji and another via Dr. Kimm. I was so impressed that I thought I'd add more of his books to my collection. Dr. Kimm talked to me, asked a few questions... what was my background, what was I interested in, what books did I already have, etc. After that he suggested that I save my money, the books of his that I already had would suffice. Nuff said? Last week I posted about our automatic dan generator at http:// www.hapkido.nl/?mode=dancert So far about 150 people provided themselves with a certificate :-) The good thing is: You can give yourself a 99th dan if you want to. But from all the people who tried the generator not even one person promoted himself higher than 1st dan. (the generator doesn't allow you to go lower) And I bet there are a lot of people who are at least 2nd dan in eating kimchi out there ;-) So the easiest way to get up in dan, absolutely free, but people in the HKD community are not very fond of promoting themselves to a higher dan. There is still hope :-) -- kind regards, Klaas Barends http://www.hapkido.nl/ Dutch HKD Federation http://www.sangmookwan.com/ SangMooKwan International Training Center Korea --__--__-- Message: 8 From: "michael tomlinson" To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: RE: [The_Dojang] Katrina Date: Wed, 31 Aug 2005 00:39:05 +0000 Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Glad you got through it all brother...those hurricanes are no joke....I know unfortunately..Michael Tomlinson >From: "J.R.
