I already use braces. It seems after a few rounds my ankles give out and I can't walk normally for days. Is there a strech or an exercise that I can do that will stop this? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Send junk mail straight into your Recycle Bin with MSN Premium: Join now and get the first two months FREE* --__--__-- Message: 2 From: "Braeswood Martial Arts" To: Date: Mon, 24 Oct 2005 06:59:52 -0500 Subject: [The_Dojang] Thank you!!! Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Thank you Master's Hodder, McHenry, Kirsch and Thomas for another great Tour!!!! The 2nd Annual Texas Masters Tour was a huge success! Master Kirsch started us off with a Korean Sword Form, what a great and patient teacher. One of my young students was so excited with this form, every time we took a break he asked if he could use a practice sword and go through it so he would not forget what he had learned. By the end of the day, he had it memorized. Unfortunately Master Kirsch had to leave after lunch, hope your daughter did well in her soccer tournament sir. After lunch, Master McHenry treated us to a Staff Form. I made it back from the airport in time to get the end of the form and be able to play with it in application. That was huge fun! Master Hodder was next with Kali Sticks. It is great fun to beat sticks with your classmates, I had the honor of playing with Master McHenry (thanks for your patience) and JKN Chad from Austin. Wow, never knew I could go so fast. Thanks for the push. Master Thomas finished the day with great patience as he taught us the Tea Cup Form. It sure puts your legs through a great work out. I would like to thank my team members Rick & Ashlyn Herbert of HKMA, and congrats to them for holding their water and allowing me to be a part of the winning team for the second year in a row. Next year we are hoping to take our tour to Master McHenry's dojang. This year was weapons, who know what next year will be. Look for us to be in the Spring Area this time next year. Thanks again for a great day sirs. I found that wearing a good pair of martial arts shoes with an arch support insert has helped me tremendously. When I first started experiencing trouble I saw a foot and ankle specialist and was informed that there are muscles in the ankle area that wrap round under your foot through the arch area. If you haven't been excercising regularly, and have just begun TKD then these muscles may need to strengthen to give your ankle more support. It will take some time but will eventually get better. Other than that, just try not to do more than your body will allow. Push yourself to the limit, but don't exceed that limit. Otherwise your doing more damage than good. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amcreva Drogovah" To: Sent: Monday, October 24, 2005 6:44 AM Subject: [The_Dojang] Training >I wanted to know if anyone had any really helpful tips for people with > weak ankles in WTF Taekwondo.
