Sideways dance walks. Stand on one foot, arms out for balance. Walk sideways on one foot shifting you weight from toe to heal. After you go about five feet come back the other direction on the same foot. Once you get to the starting point again, then switch feet. Change the distance as you get stronger. Great for the ankles! Also for those with even weaker ankles or for early stages of rehab try foot writing. Foot writing involves sitting down in a chair, straiten one leg, point your toe. With your big toe start tracing the alphabet in the air. Do capital letters and small letters. Write your full name in print and in cursive. Be sure to switch feet. It's a lot of fun to try and write with your left foot! And this is a great exercise for anyone who is working up to being able to walk again from an injury. Buckley is a talented illustrator, and his writing is crisp and fresh with the right mix of humor and action. Just a normal average guy, with no special skills or powers, Wendell is plunged into the most unusual circumstances and must find the "hero" within. I highly recommend "WANTED: HERO" to everyone who enjoys an action packed humorous yarn. I already use braces. It seems after a few rounds my ankles give out and I can't walk normally for days. Is there a strech or an exercise that I can do that will stop this? ============================ do your ABC's. with both of your feet, use your entire ankle range of motion to "draw" the letters of the alphabet with your toes. once youre comfortable with doing that often, add small ankle weights, but wrap those around the ball of your foot, not your ankle. then do your ABC's again with the ankle weights around the balls of your feet. dont wear your braces all day. wearing a brace of any kind can cause your muscles to become dependant on the brace in order to function. good luck and take care, melinda :) Chajonshim Martial Arts Academy _www.cjmaa.com_ (http://www.cjmaa.com/) 1.573.673.2769 Chajonshim Martial Arts Supply _www.cjmas.com_ (http://www.cjmas.com/) 1.877.847.4072 --__--__-- Message: 4 From: Hapkidoman5@wmconnect.com Date: Tue, 25 Oct 2005 22:41:31 EDT To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] seminar in kentucky(Gods country) Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Just wanted to let everyone know if you missed out on GMWest seminar in kentucky this weekend you missed out. Thanks to GMWest and crew for a good training session and for treating this hillbilly like family.Master Stinson and i hope to make this an annual event . k carter --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/the_dojang Copyright 1994-2005: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
