The judges never score a point for the hand strikes, so it's just evolved to the point where nobody does them, just kicks and more kicks. It's the only way to win. It's not typical, however, in your everyday dojang... you would lose your head that way... Surprises me how little these guys seem to block. Is that typical for TKD? If I kept my arms at my sides at Tang Soo Do sparring, the way most of these guys seem to, I'd get totally slammed. What happened to the guy who got carried out on the stretcher? You just had a crooked instructor not worthy of been called an instructor. There is no way to prove your case and the WTF would be bombarded by people that are not as honest as yourself. I think its better to device a way to make those instructors lose their rank and be banned from the WTF or USAT. By the way, on a side note, many people think that the Kukkiwon and WTF are one and the same or that the kukkiwon is all about Sport TKD, but the truth is they are separate entities. The kukkiwon is only a worldwide ranking organization that has ties with WTF and is used by the WTF. I personally use their professional service, yet, I teach the style or styles of TKD that I want or see effective. For the last two years, Stone Ward has helped promote the ATA World Championships held annually in Little Rock, drawing approximately 25,000 U.S. and international visitors to the city. The ATA and Stone Ward are both based in Little Rock. "We look forward to further developing that relationship as we move forward with the message of the ATA and its founder, eternal grand master H.U. Lee," said Jim Wolff, chief executive and chief creative officer of Stone Ward. Founded in 1969 by Lee, the ATA has more than 350,000 members, including 53,000 black belts, on five continents. Three thousand instructors oversee more than 1,500 schools and clubs worldwide. The ATA is also the founding organization of other international affiliates, including the World Traditional Taekwondo Union and the Songahm Taekwondo Federation, the agency said. With 65 employees, Stone Ward claims billings of more than $44 million. Millie Ward and Larry Stone co-founded the agency 21 years ago. --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/the_dojang Copyright 1994-2006: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
