Travis is a friend & helped one of my students & I establish a MMA association here in ND/MN. He was asked by the promoter not to hit the other guy because it was his first fight. Travis currently has a record of over 200 professional fights and a handful of pro-boxing bouts as well. He holds the record for the most KO's in MMA. It was an extremely bad match-up. Travis was trying not to end it quickly for the entertainment value but that didn't work-out so well. Jeremy Bullock was alright. His record shows no more fights since that one. http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?fighterID=80 Someone inquired about an earlier video of Heath Herring of Texas KO-ing his Korean opponent at the stare-down because he kissed him. The event was Japan's K1 MMA New Years Eve event. Of course a high paying rematch is already set-up. When I was stationed in Korea I had a sergeatnt (SGT/E-5 type) that was sooooo Gung-Ho that MA training was for the Gooks not for the Mi-Gooks (Mi-Gook=Americans) we had no business doing that shit. Let the slant eyes do that shit... anyway he was going through a divorce and his wife was a "Spick" from Panama (Im a "Spick" too..  Puerto Rican...btw taught me english, made me read the stars and stripes to him while he ate) He was a guy from Kentucky my SGT/NCOIC wanted/expected me to do PT in the AM.......and racist too all get go...anyways I invited him to my home 4 dinner since he was on "NPD" No Pay Due.. his wife was taking all his check sold his Harley ect... He first went to my Taekwon-Do class in Seoul (off Post) I was the only "Mi-Guk" /Mi-Gook there, he seen that my Sa Bum Nim and My Kwang Jang Nim were VERY serious about Tae Kwon-Do (WTF style) (dont need to repeat my history most know it) anyways it got me out of PT because the soldiers taking TKD on post were exempt but I wasnt (didnt bother me I just wanted to show him how serious I take this "gook shit") any ways to make a long story short before he arrived in Korea (mind you I was there 5 years & most tours last 1 year) My first brother in law (american was a 7th Dan & a civilian contract in Korea) we were playing cards (spades) in the supply room after work one night, for several hours..decidecd to go home to his "Yobo" I told him to be careful Koreans can't drive; was killed in the Seoul Tunnel.By a drunk driver..; Well a year or so went by... I invited my SGT to eat at my home and my sister-in-law was there visiting my wife (ex-Now) he liked "her skinny ass" I told him don't get involved SGT she's a widow and has a baby of several months.... anyways he married her and have been married 20 years maybe 19. He developed throught, liver, and some other cancer. My son's Uncle; died this past Friday/My SGT whom I loved/respected and after meeting me had a whole new outlook on people said once that Steven Segal looked like me lol...He was "kicked" out of the ARMY because he nearly beat someone to death for raping one of his daughters which he blames thats why she's a lesbian today.... Ran his Bronco into the man's home running him over and hitting him over the head with a tire iron.... Redneck? yes and my favorite redneck too to boot just like "my favorite Martian" oops Im showing my age again.... My red neck ass Sergeant died.... Father, Uncle, Brother, Son, Grandfather, Cousin, ect will be missed by all SGT Thomas H. Pennebaker may God rest your soul man you Harley ridding red neck you.. I Love You man...You made me cut my vacation short because you always need that "last" word in; go give God some of that BBQ you make soooo delicious maybe God needed to grill out next week end; Love ya Tom; God Bless and By the way....... I'll look out for all 4 of your daughters oh thats right and Ana too thats 5 almost forgot about Master Dave's little girl whom he never meet and you raised as your own.. Yes I read that you would unload the REAL firearm, however I have read numerous reports of deaths and injuries from unloaded weapons. Even unloaded weapons handled by professionals. There are a number of good weapon simulators out there. I have used the “Redgun” line for years and found them to be accurate and safe. The weights and dimensions are that of the REAL firearm. Their (Redgun) training knifes are good; however No Lie Blades (NLB) are better. I have used NLB and found the ability to see the marks made by the opponent’s weapon(s) is invaluable. Introduction of a REAL firearm to the training environment is, (pardon the paradox and no insult intended) like putting a loaded gun in a monkey cage. FWIW, does the benefit of bringing a REAL firearm into the training area outweigh the liability? I personally shoot an average of three weekends a month at 300 to 600 rounds each session so I guess I am a little more familiar with this subject.... but you are right that this is not for everyone.... Hey this is just the way we do it but I understand the other side of the coin also...it is safe for us because we know what we are doing and that cuts all the boogeyman aura out...but there is also a stopcheck protocal that I follow everytime to make sure I don't get hurt or anyone that is with me...
