Just look at all of the "history" on various systems that come from some little old man in the back woods, or some grandfather that was a royal court something or other. If you believe all of that stuff I have a nice bridge to sell you in New York :-) Personally I was taught the Pyung-ahn forms back in the 60's and when in Korea refused to practice the "new" forms in the 70's, and still got promoted in Korea. Refused to do them then, refuse to do them now, and refuse to learn some new "form" that was made up by a committee that probably was in grade school back in the 60's. OK perhaps there are some older guys on the committee but you get my point. I would be willing to bet you a dollar to a donut that the applications they see in the forms are the standard "block - punch" stuff that even white belts question.
