I am a 1st dan Kuk Sool student and have been considering changing schools. The WKSA is making this difficult. I stumbled on a Kung Jung Mu Sul dojang and found it to be 95% identical to KSW, they claim KSW derived from their art, obviously KSW would dispute that. I'm just interested in the history for academic reasons, I'm really just wondering if anyone is familiar w/ the org (especially GM Timmerman) and if its a quality one. Many thanks. I myself have eliminated most of the Korean from my classesand reinstated it because most of my instructors still use the Korean they say it helps at tournaments. I myself dont go to turnaments that often or take my students every 8 days so I didnt fell the need. But if you want to learn "Ninjitsu" and dont know what a "Yoko-Geri" is then U might be in a bit of a jam. Say if you go to a new school/move to a new town ect you would be lost. After all it is an asian art and we need to learn as much of their culture as nessesary. My trips to Korea have been more enjoyable since I learned the language and culture.
